Benny Barnes (Contra Costa College) is being inducted into the CCCAA Hall of Fame in recognition of his outstanding football career. Barnes was a two sport athlete at Contra Costa College, earning all league in both football and track and field. After Contra Costa, Barnes transferred to Stanford University and was signed as a free agent by the Dallas Cowboys in 1972, where he spent 11 years playing defensive back. During that span Dallas played in four Super Bowls and won two. Barnes later returned to Contra Costa College where he has been working for 14 years.
