CCCAA STUDENT-ATHLETES IN THE 2013 MLB DRAFT-6/14/2013 -
The CCCAA has a rich history of student-athletes entering the MLB draft with this year being no different. In the 2013 MLB draft a total of 51 current or former California Community College Athletic Association student-athletes were drafted. Leading the group this year was former El Camino College first baseman, Garrett Cooper. Cooper was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the sixth round with the 182nd overall pick.

MT. SAN ANTONIO CLAIMS THIRD IN LEARFIELD CUP STANDINGS-6/13/2013 -
After an incredible 2012-13 season for Mt. San Antonio College, where they recorded a record breaking total number of points to win the NATYCAA Cup, Mt. SAC earns third place in the Nationwide 2012-13 Learfield Cup standings with a point total of 177.5. First place was earned by Gloucester County College (195.5) in New Jersey. California had 10 of the top 20 schools in the final standings as well as three of the top 10.
This is just the second year that the Learfield Cup has been available at the community college level, with Fresno City College earning the title last year.

2012-13 ATHLETES OF THE YEAR-6/13/2013 -
The CCCSIA Athletes of the Year have been chosen with Glendale Community College's Grace Graham-Zamudio and Ventura College's Henry Chung both earning the honors. Each athlete capped off their incredible two-year community college careers in the Spring with multiple school, conference and State titles and records. Their list of feats and awards is truly impressive not just during the 2012-13 season but dating back to their Freshman year as well. Each individual will be remembered as one of the best to participate in their respective sports at the CCC level.
