COSUMNES RIVER COLLEGE WINS THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP-5/20/2012 - Cosumnes River College wins the 2012 CCCAA Baseball State Championship by defeating Rio Hondo, 8-6, in 12 innings. CYPRESS WINS THEIR THIRD STATE TITLE IN AS MANY YEARS-5/20/2012 - Cypress College defeats College of the Siskiyous two times on Sunday, 8-7 and 4-3, to win their third CCCAA Softball State Championship in a row and eighth in school history. RIVERSIDE MEN AND LANEY WOMEN WIN THE TRACK STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS-5/19/2012 - Riverside City College (men) and Laney College (women) earned team state championships at Cerritos College, as both schools pulled away from their closest competition with strong performances. Riverside recorded 122 team points to easily outdistance second place Mt. San Antonio College (91.20 points), while Laney (78 team points) used their strength and depth in sprint events to pull away from the host Falcons, who finished with 50 team points, which all came in field events.
