RIVERSIDE - Mt. San Antonio continues to prove their dominance as they hold down the top spot one again in the week’s California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) poll. No. 2 Cerritos follows by nine points, while No. 3 Fresno City and No. 4 Oxnard do not budge.
Mt. SAC is one of three teams that are undefeated and sit atop a strong South Coast Conference that features No. 2 Cerritos, who also stands unbeaten. Both teams met last week and ended in a draw, but expect them to meet in the conference playoffs in late November.
No. 3 Fresno City is commanding the Central Valley Conference as they have defeated Folsom Lake and Sequoias to close out October play. No. 4 Oxnard remains in the top five and has yet to falter since their late September defeat to Mt. SAC. They are coming off a two all draw against LA Mission.
No. 5 Butte leaps into the top-five after moving up two spots, while No. 6 Santa Rosa rises two spots from last week. They replace No. 9 Folsom Lake who dropped four spots.
No. 10 Cypress remains in the top-10 despite dropping one position, while No. 11 Chaffey barely misses the cut. No. 17 Santa Barbara falls five positions.
No. 19 Golden West and No. 20 Hartnell jump into the rankings after receiving votes the previous week.
