West Valley’s men won their fifth title of the last decade by defeating perennial favorite Golden West in the title game, 12-8. On the women’s side #1 Riverside capped an undefeated season with a 12-4 victory over American River in the final. In the third place games Santa Rosa upset Cuesta, 6-4, and defending State Champion Long Beach crushed Santa Rosa, 12-3, on the women’s side.

November 17 Results
The top two seeds, Riverside and American River advanced to Sunday’s title game to continue the battle for the State. The Tigers last won in 2005 and have made the last four State Title games, while the Beavers are the first team from Northern California to reach the title game since 1996. The two teams have already played three times this year and Riverside has won all three, but Sunday will be the final decider. The third place game is set with the #2-seed from each region squaring off. Long Beach will represent the South and Santa Rosa the North.
