Site: Nine 42 inch lanes. Polyurethane
embedded track, high, long, triple jump, pole vault, and javelin runways.
All standard NCAA metric markings. Hammer/Discus cage is located just Northeast
of the stadium on the other side of the berm, inline with the start of the
200. An ideal place to watch the Discus, hammer and the running events is
on the berm at the start of the 200. Men's and women's long jump will be
contested on the same runway 150 foot runway. Men's Triple Jump board is
40 feet. The Men's Triple Jump runway is 120 feet. Women's Triple Jump is
on a parallel runway the boards are at 32 and 24 feet. The Women's Triple
Jump board at 32 feet provides 128 feet of runway. The Pole Vault runway
is 122 feet - 5 inches with 65 yards of grass behind.
Packet Pick-up/Athlete Entrance: Packets
will be available at the Ticket Booth located at end of the service road
off of Depot Road. All athletes and coaches must enter the stadium through
this entrance. On Saturday there will be a flea market in the parking lot
located on Hesperian Blvd therefore all parking of school vehicles should
be in lots E and D.

All athletes and coaches must use the wristbands
provided in the packets to gain entry to the stadium. The number of wristbands
provided will be based on the number of athletes listed on the declared
list of entries. Only those athletes who are declared entries (and relay
alternates) into the State Meet will receive free entry into the meet. You
will receive three additional wristbands for free entrance (you may use
these wristbands for your choice of coaches, managers, or trainers, etc.).
You must have a check or School P.O. to receive your meet packet!

Spectator Entrance:
In accordance with COA guidelines, a spectator fee will be charged: $5.00
for adults and $3.00 for children under 12. The spectator gate is located
at the end of the service road off of Depot Road. Spectators must receive
a hand stamp if they wish to leave and re-enter the stadium.

Media Area:Media attending the championship
will be granted access to reserved seating on the stadium infield beneath
the COA Tent.
Entires:
Will be done through www.DirectAthletics.com.
Entry Fee:
Entry fee is $15.00 per athlete per event entered in the meet; $60.00 per
relay team entered in the meet (men and women's teams are considered separate).
There are no refunds for scratches after noon Wednesday or no shows at the
meet.

Scratches from the regionals to the state meet:
Please notify either the Northern Cal Chair (Joe Mangan) or Southern Cal
Chair (Mark Covert) by Tuesday NOON prior to the State Meet of any athletes
that qualified but will NOT compete at the State Meet in an event. All changes
must be cleared through your Chair.
Parking:
ALL team, athlete, spectator, etc. parking will take place in the Parking
Lots D and E -located on Depot Road. Please see enclosed directions and
map. Teams must display enclosed permit. All others must purchase a temporary
permit at one of the ticket dispensers. Park in lots D and E and walk down
the service road to enter the meet.
Attention to NCAA Rules:
All NCAA and COA rules will be enforced.
Coaches and athletes are reminded of the following NCAA rules: 1)Uniform
rule. Both headings "Uniforms" and "Relay Uniforms" will be enforced. This
rule also applies to throwers as well. If you have questions about the legality
of your uniform, ask the meet referee for a ruling. 2)Honest Effort rule.
3)State Code of Conduct policy.
State Coaches Meeting:
Friday May 16th in room 2642 at 7:20 PM. Room 2642 is located in the PE
Building across from the gymnasium. Contact Doug Wells (Cerritos College)
for agenda items.

Technical Information:
1. There will be 3 FAT timing systems. Two separate Lynx systems and one
Pyro Flash VideoTimer system.
2. There will be trials and finals in the throws, long jump, and triple
jump with the top 9 qualifying to the finals. NCAA time
limitations will be in effect during the competition.
3. 1600-meter relay uses a 3-turn stagger. The stagger is marked in blue.
The middle of the first exchange zone is marked in green. The second runner
breaks to the inside lane at the marker line coming off the turn.
4. To aid in the Lynx and Pyro Flash timing identification, runners will
be given hip numbers to be worn on their right and left hip. These numbers
are to be worn on the side not the front of the hip. The clerk will issue
these numbers. Jerseys are to be tucked in as well.
5. ¼ inch spikes MAXIMUM!!
6. Starting heights will be determined by the Games Committee.
7. Coaches and athletes are reminded that they are to remain off of the
field at all times, except when involved in competition. Also, no
stereos, radios, or cassette players in the stadium or near the Hammer/Discus
area.
Implement Drop-off Times:
All implements are to be school labeled and dropped off at Weights and Measurements
shack located at the end of track near the Long Jump and Pole Vault. Passing
implements will be brought to the event site by Meet Management 30 minutes
prior to the start of the event.

Warm-up Area:
Athletes may warm-up on the Practice Field, located just behind the softball
field. Do not warm-up on the soccer field! The Hammer and the Discus are
thrown in that area. All implement throwing must be done only at the event
site. Remind athletes to have their passes and/or hands stamped before leaving
the stadium for warm-ups or competition.
Tents maybe set up and left overnight in the outfield
of the softball stadium and at the far ends of the practice field. No tents
in the stadium!
Check-in:
Athletes in running events must check-in with the clerk at least 20 minutes
prior to their event. The clerk is located at the South end of the track
just outside the finish line area. There will be no P.A. calls for the events.
Athletes in field events must be at their event area at least 20 minutes
prior to the scheduled start of their event.
Games Committee:
The Games Committee serves as the Jury of Appeals during the State Championships.
Any protest, in accordance with NCAA rules, must be submitted to either
the meet referee or the Stadium Announcer within 30 minutes following the
official announcement of the results. There is a $20.00 fee for each protest
filed -refundable if the decision is in your favor. Protest forms are available
from the Stadium Announcer in the Press Box.
Results:
As soon as possible, individual results will be posted on the side of the
Press Box. At the completion of the meet, full results will be available
to coaches only from the Press Box. One copy per team. Results will also
be available on the web at: www.directathletics.com
Awards:
After the conclusion of each event, athletes will be escorted to the awards
stand. To expedite the presentation of the running event awards, athletes
will put their sweats, etc. in baskets (provided by Meet Management) at
the starting line -which will be brought to the awards area.
First Aid/Training Facilities:
Under the direction of Chabot College athletic trainer, Dan Miller (dmiller@chabotcollege.edu),
the training staff will be located under the tent at the South end of the
track. Bring your own tape and supplies for any routine treatments.
Dressing/Restroom Facilities:
Dressing/shower facilities are located in the buildings 2700 & 2800. Bring
your own towels, soap, and locks. Rest rooms are located on behind the stadium,
below the Press Box and - on the outside of building 3000 just south of
the long jump. As well in the locker rooms.
Concessions:
Concessions will be open on the East side of the stadium.
T-shirts:
State Meet Championship T-shirts will be available for $10.00 each.
Tents:
Tents maybe set up and left overnight in the outfield of the softball stadium
and at the far ends of the practice field. No tents in the stadium!

Coaches Social will be held on Friday and Saturday
nights after the conclusion of the meet in the hotel conference rooms.
