Southern California Champions Give Repeat Performance

One week after claiming the Southern California Regional championships, the singles and doubles champions were back to take home state titles. In singles, Jessica Knitter of Mt. San Antonio College was the state champion, while in doubles, Rosie Schoepf and Eileen Francabandera of Long Beach won in three sets for their state crown this weekend at the California Community College Women's Tennis State Championships at La Costa Resort & Spa.

Grossmont State Title Northing Less Than Perfect

Grossmont College wrapped up a perfect season with a perfect sweep. The Southern California champion Griffins scored a 5-0 win over Northern California champion Reedley College to claim the California Community College Women's Dual Team Tennis State Championship today at La Costa Resort.

COA and Wilson Renew Tennis Partnership

The California Community College Commission on Athletics (COA) today announced a partnership renewal with Wilson Sporting Goods Racquet Division. The agreement identifies Wilson as the official ball sponsor of both the women's and men's regional championships and the Hyundai California Community College championships through the 2004 season.
