The CCCAA men's golf regional championships were held on Monday, May 4, with the 36 hole championship event deciding who moves onto State. In the North, Reedley College won convincingly, scoring a 743, 17 strokes ahead of second place Santa Rosa. Both teams, along with Monterey Peninsula (764) and Folsom Lake (771) will have a shot at State on May 11. Taking home the individual regional title was Folsom Lake's Chad Vanderdussen, posting a two-under 142.
In the South, College of the Canyons posted a fantastic 10-under 710, with four of their golfers carding under par rounds. Coming in a close second was Santa Barbara City with a 723, led by individual champion Brett Patton who shot a 7-under 137. Canyons, SBCC, Desert (725) and Riverside City (156) will see the four NorCal teams at the CCCAA State Championships, to be held at Kings River Golf & Country Club on May 11.
