2003 California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics Football Bowl
Game Participants Announced
Sacramento, CA . . . The California Community Colleges
Commission on Athletics (COA) Football Bowl Game Selection Committee today announced
the participants in this year’s crop of football bowl games. Bowl participants,
are:
Playoff seed rankings, as outlined in the COA Football Guide, are in BOLD.
Final regular-season record and final poll rankings are in parenthesis.

In Northern California, the San Francisco Hawaiian Punch Bowl will serve as the
Northern California championship contest.
In Southern California, the National Bowl, Southwestern College South County Bowl,
US Bank Beach Bowl and the Western State Bowl will serve as first-round playoff
games. Semifinal (November 29) and championship (December 6) games will be hosted
by the higher seed.
The winners of the Northern California and Southern California championship playoff
games will advance to the California Community Colleges Commission on Athletics
Football Championship presented by Blue Diamond Growers and the Bakersfield Sports
Marketing Council on December 13, 2002 at Bakersfield College’s Memorial Stadium
in Bakersfield, California. Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
