The Golden Valley Conference is comprised of six rural
Northern California Community Colleges stretching the width of the state
from Nevada to the Pacific Ocean and extending from the Oregon border
south to Lake Tahoe. Member colleges and locations include Butte College
(Oroville), Feather River College (Quincy), Lassen College (Susanville),
College of the Redwoods (Eureka), Shasta College (Redding), and College
of the Siskiyous (Weed).
In addition to the beautiful mountains and forests,
the Sacramento Valley and the Pacific Ocean, student-athletes attending
conference schools have opportunities to compete in football, soccer,
cross-country, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, tennis,
track and field and swimming. Colleges in the conference range in size
from an enrollment of 1200 students to 10,000 students; ensuring athletes
an educational experience that includes small classes and personal attention.
