Final State Poll: El Camino College wins its second straight CCCAA title to finish No. 1 in the state. For the first time in the history of the Top 25 poll, two North teams occupy the final No. 2 (Santa Rosa) and No. 3 (Fresno City) spots. Orange Coast is fourth. Sacramento rated No. 5 with a win over the state champions at the Final 8 tourney.

State Poll No. 7: Top 5 finally gets dented, but LA Pierce, El Camino stay class of the South, Santa Rosa tops in the North at No. 3, and Moorpark enters 4th with Irvine Valley occupying the No. 5 spot. Butte cracks the Top 10 at No.10.
Upset Special: New No. 11 San Diego Mesa sweeps then No. 4 Palomar (now 8th).

State Poll No. 6: No movement in Top 6 with LA Pierce continuing its hold on the No. 1 spot at 26-1 and El Camino right behind at 22-1. Santa Rosa stays the class of the North for now at 27-1 and in No. 3 slot. Fullerton Hornets fly into the Top 10 at the No. 7 spot with big win over No. 8 Golden West.
Upset Special x2: Then No. 25 Pasadena CC beats No. 11 Mt. San Antonio in 4, then unranked Shasta beats No. 19 Siskiyous in 5.

State Poll No. 5: Top 4 teams stay in order with LA Pierce (top South), El Camino, Santa Rosa (top North), and Palomar remaining steady. Moorpark jumps to No. 5, Irvine Valley leaps to No. 6 as tops in Orange Empire, Butte jumps on Top 10 for first time at No. 10.

State Poll No. 4: LA Pierce continues to occupy No. 1 spot and El Camino No. 2. Upsets all over the state makes poll a dogfight for final spots. Santa Rosa remains North No. 1 and state No. 3 with Sierra now on its heels at NorCal 2, State 6.

State Poll No. 3: LA Pierce stays on top of Top 25, El Camino right behind in 2. Santa Rosa jumps ahead of Sacramento City for NorCal top spot and No. 3 with Panthers at No. 4. Palomar takes large leap to No. 5 in a comeback season for the Comets.
Upset Special: Cypress ends Orange Coast's 10-match win streak in 4 games.

Los Angeles Pierce College wins a rematch v. El Camino on its way to winning San Diego Mesa Tournament, then wins San Jose Invitational Tournament as the Brahmas jump to the No. 1 spot in the rankings. El Camino stays at 2, Golden West is 3. The North top spot and No. 4 ranking goes to Sacramento City College, a 4-game loser to LA Pierce in the SJT finals, but Santa Rosa is a close North No. 2 and State No. 5.
Upset Special: Mt. San Antonio beats Fullerton in 4 games on Sept. 17, helping Mt. SAC to No. 9 on the poll.

El Camino College, the defending state champions, are looking to repeat as it tops the first poll for '08 with a 5-0 overall record. Santa Rosa gets the nod as top North team, rated No. 4. Four Golden Valley Conference teams make the Top 25 in perhaps the strongest collective start ever by that conference.
Upset of the Year to date: No. 25 Napa Valley defeated No. 7 San Joaquin Delta on Sept. 5 in 4 games.
