STATE POLL NO. 6:
LA Pierce stays on top for the entire regular season and is the lone undefeated team in the state going into the regional playoffs. Cabrillo is tops in the North at No. 2 with Santa Rosa right on its trail in the No. 3 spot. El Camino is a solid No. 4 and Grossmont is able to hold on to the No. 5 spot. The top 10 includes moves up for No. 6 Mt. San Antonio and No. 9 Moorpark. No. 7 Golden, 8 Pasadena, and 10 Orange Coast round out the top squads as playoff fever hits the state.

STATE POLL NO. 5:
The State Top 10 remains unchanged except for Mt. SAC going ahead of Pasadena at No. 7 due to a Mounties' sweep over the Lancers. LA Pierce tops the State and the South at No. 1 while Cabrillo, the Coast South Division champions, is the North's top team at No. 2. Santa Rosa, El Camino continues to keep a stranglehold on No. 3 and No. 4. while No. 5 Grossmont wins a big rematch with No. 12 San Diego Mesa keeping red-hot Golden West from jumping from its No. 6 slot. Orange Coast stays in 9th and Moorpark in 10th to keep the top 10 one of the most consistent hierarchy in recent seasons.

STATE POLL 4:
No change in the top 5 as LA Pierce keeps its season-long, 20-match win streak going as the state's No. 1-rated team. North top teams Cabrillo at No. 2 and Santa Rosa at No. 3 each have just one loss this season.
No. 4 El Camino continues control of the South Coast. No. 5 Grossmont and No. 7 Pasadena suffer their 2nd losses, while Golden West is on a hot streak that has moved the Rustlers to No. 6. Dangerous Mt. SAC, Orange Coast, and Moorpark round out Top 10.
Upset Central: Fresno City shocked by Reedley, sees 57-match CVC winning streak stopped; Sacramento City upset by Diablo Valley in a Big 8 surprise; San Diego Mesa moves up to state No. 14 with a 5-set win over Grossmont.

State Poll No. 3:
LA Pierce continues its hold on the No. 1 ranking as the state's only undefeated team.
No changes in the top 7, and only Mt. San Antonio jumps into the previous top 10 in 8th slot. The Nos. 11-13 teams all can make claims to be in the top 10, but things can and do change in a hurry as the conference play heats up.

State Poll No. 2:
Upsets throughout the state leaves just one team left undefeated in defending state champion LA Pierce, a team that captured both the SD Mesa and own Brahma Invitational tournament titles. No. 2 Cabrillo loses to American River (now No. 9), the winner of the San Jose Tournament. Santa Rosa keeps pace at No. 3, No. 4 El Camino suffered losses to LA Pierce and Fullerton (now No. 7), and Grossmont enters the top 5 for the first time, a winner over Moorpark (No. 8), who upset previously No. 5 Irvine Valley (now 14th). No. 6 Pasadena drops a 5-gamer v. Golden West (now 13th), but beat No. 10 Orange Coast in a 5-game thriller.
