Santa Barbara City Crowned State Champions, Sim wins individual state title
VENTURA, Calif. - Santa Barbara City College women’s golf team shot a tournament-low round of 311 on the second day of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Women’s Golf State Championship at Olivas Links Golf Course on Tuesday afternoon to win the state title. Santa Barbara’s No. 1 golfer, Asaka Sim, carded a 9-over-par 153 to take home the individual title as well.


Palomar Leads Field at the 2008 CCCAA Women's Golf State Championship
VENTURA, Calif. - Palomar College women’s golf team shot a 34-over-par 322 on day one of the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA) Women’s Golf State Championship at Olivas Links Golf Course, to take a three-stroke lead over the four-team field.

Northern Regional Championship Results
Christina Thissen (left), from West Hills College, won the individual championship by six strokes. She is the first individual regional winner for West Hills in school history.

The two teams from the North to qualify for the State Championship are Sacramento City College with a team score of 654, and Sierra College with a score of 665.


2008 Big 8 Conference
Sierra College is named the Big 8 Womens Golf Conference Champion, winning 8 of their 12 tournaments, and placing second in the remaining four. Amy Cowan from Sierra is named the Conference MVP with an average score of 78. The Big 8 All Conference Players, as well as NorCal individual qualifiers are mentioned on the 'Indiviual Leaders' spread sheet.
